Not undercutting the prices of the stores you sell to is a good point. I
worked retail for a long time, and nothing would get a manufacturer
dumped faster than if he sold direct at a discounted price. It would
probably even be a good idea to direct customers who are interested in
your work to a store that's carrying the type of item they are looking
for. It would go a long way to develop a good working relationship with
the retailer. They will be more likely to buy more to replace what got
sold, and the more traffic they see on your products, the more likely
they are to specifically promote them.
