Ive been playing with the pressure switch settings on my compressors, I was
wondering what a safeish setting would be, have a 15 cfm and a 10 cfm
feeding my air hammer, Im not sure what the bigger one is rated at but the
small one has a reline on the guage of 120 psi, is 130 safe, 140 even? What
is getting stressed here? the electric motor or the pump? These both have a
single adjustment on the switch with about a 30 psi gap between on and off
so I mainly want to keep the pressure up when Im hammering hard out but
waiting till 90 psi or so before they cut in means the hammer slows
somewhat. Mabey I should just get that bigger cylinder for my hammer and 90
psi would be plently.
