	Patinas on nonferrous metals run the gamut from being pretty
	durable to extremely delicate.  What you are looking for is
	more towards the durable end.  If the panels are not going to
	be handled much and will not be exposed to rain (ha), then I
	would leave them as is.  A clear coat will go crap-O in the
	heat, may yellow in the sun, and will eventually look icky.
	About the toughest clear coat I can think of, and I may be
	wrong here, is a powder coat, and that will hold up only for
	a few years.  That Arizona sun is brutal on such finishes.
