  She was talking about burning off factory-supplied poisons and
coatings.  Even a lot of the US-made stuff, which has to contend
with the FDA, has some kind of plasticized spray on it.  The
Chinese stuff has every thing from Bondo, machine oil, grease &
coaldust blacking, cosmoline (really!), and even spray paint on it.

  Stuff you really don't want to eat.
