Harry: Just take the heat away and let cool, the oil may be darkening it a bit. It works best if the metal is polished, like wire brushed shiny then just slowing bring it up to heat. The blue is one of the tempering colours, ~525�F I think. If you let it get any hotter then it turns grey.
