You might consider a fire retardant or resistant paint. Look them up on the
internet, but here is one which I've never used:
http://www.lenderink.com/fire-retardants.htm. I purchased a different brand
a few years ago and put it on some wood walls, but don't remember the name
of it. If I remember right it was less than $20 per gallon and could be
painted over if you wanted. It was available in gallon or 5 gallon
containers. You could put it on a piece of cardboard and try to light it
with a torch and it would not light. You could paint it on or spray it on
with a garden sprayer. It came in clear and white. There are some real
expensive fire retardant paints on the market and then there are some that
are less expensive.
