Just a thought here: All wholesale plumbing and electrical houses =
generate a steady flow of bent pipe that they pile up as it is not =
saleable. I have found everything from 1/4" iron pipe up to 4" schedule =
40 and all sizes of emt that was free. The damage is mostly fork lift =
inflicted, and easily fixed. Of course, I spend quite a bit there over =
the course of a year. Please works well. Blacksmiths are not mystified =
by the process of straightening a few kinks out of a length of pipe, so =
there is a way to get your gas lines (and air) up in the air, off the =
floor, for free. The damage is mostly fork lift inflicted, and easily =
fixed. Use good dope and make sure your joints are tight... Always =
pressure test gas piping with soapy water. Inject the air into a =
"Schroeder" valve, available anywhere refrigeration supplies are sold. =
This is the same valve used on tires. Install a pressure gage on your =
new pipe run, pressurize, watch the ga. for 24 hours, if you loose =
anything, get your soapy water and a small paintbrush out and check =
every joint. =20
