Good story- I started noticing real differentiation in chemistry classes a
few years back. Finally got to telling my lab partners that if it was hot,
let me handle it- i'd pick up a test tube we'd been heating, and put it
wherever, and they'd try the same thing and yowl.

One of the things I've noticed, too, is that I'm much more sensitive to heat
variations, along with being more resistant to being burned. How about you
guys? A friend who's a professional chef says the same thing.
