Shouldn't be, if the electric cord itself is well-insulated. I might worry
if he were planning on trying to run a 220 furnace or something through
standard lamp cord ;-) but if he uses the proper electric cord for the lamp-
the heavier of the two if there's a choice, he should be fine. Sisal just
doesn't burn that easily.
