I recently plumbed my shop with 3/4" schedule 40. It works fine for
my air hammer and my high speed die grinders both of which require as
much as 20cfm. Do not use PVC or any other plastic that is not rated
for air service use, as the oil from the compressor will deteriorate
the plastic and it will fail eventually.
