1" is what I would use for such a short
run.
If you get lazy late in the day, I have
a tank saver for you.
Run a 1/4 inch OD tube from the manual
drain at the bottom of the tank to
someplace convenient. ( Mine is next to
the door.) You will be surprised as to
how much water that automatic drain
leaves behind. A dry tank is a happy
tank.
