Here is the basic info
Sixth Annual
Bighorn Forge Conference
September 6th, 7th, and 8th
2002
Peter Ross, from Colonial Williamsburg has spent his career working 18th and
19th century forging methods. His job has been to re-discover and practice
these skills while making things the museum needs. What has drawn me to
historic work has been the nature of the pieces themselves. They have a
casual competence and inventiveness that is refreshing and interesting. It
has been this nonchalant vigor which I have tried to emulate..taken from
Peters keynote address at the 1998 ABANA Conference, Ashville, NC. Peter,
recipient of ABANAs highest honor, the Alex Bealer Award, has demonstrated
at several ABANA conferences and chapter events. His lessons are for

Temperatures in mid September can vary from cool to hot during the day, and
generally cool at night.

hammer and all the other trimmings of a blacksmith and metalworking shop.
If you are traveling from the south, you might want to visit our Cedarburg

an 1864 fieldstone building in the Cedar Creek Settlement. Listed in the
National Registry of Historic Buildings, the adjacent buildings are also
