[TheForge] Flagstaff Minutes are on ABANA site

They weren't "hidden" per se.
Rather, Motion #1 says "Lou indicated that he had used his Presidential
prerogative to not send letters to the Board..."

What about impeaching the ABANA board with full truths?
Or impeaching anyone else with full truths for that matter?
I say let the facts out and let folks decide for themselves.

Mention of the $25,000 figure may have started with George, I don't know.
I still haven't seen the ABANA board confirm nor deny the figure.
If someone mentioned a figure of $25,000, though, I'd hardly consider that as
an "off-hand" remark.
Especially if it is being considered as one of the factors influencing a board
decision.

Please refresh my memory. Wasn't the $6,000 an increase rather than a savings?
That would make for a net difference of $31,000.

Bob

Ted,

I did CLEARLY READ (emphasis only) the minutes. The minutes George said
were "NOT" there. I agree, nothing in the minutes about $25,000 but yet
people keep quoting that number which seems to have STARTED WITH George
implying that the "real" 6k savings was less than 25k (a number that does
not appear in the minutes).

On this same issue, you judge ABANA as having poor record keeping because
the 25k figure is not in them. HOGWASH! As a secretary, you don't record
every word of a business meeting. Especially NOT off-hand remarks or
numbers - unless, as the recording secretary, you add a qualifier that shows
that the number is only suggested and not "real".

Another problem? ---- Where did you get your information about the ABANA
president hiding, from the ABANA board, correspondence that came from George
? ...from George?

Seems to be yet another unsubstantiated "fact".

If the correspondence was addressed to the board and not disclosed to them,
then George should provide proof of that to the rest of the board and give
them a chance to deal with that problem rather than bringing it up here. If
George was intending to write to the board but only addressed the president,
then he should have copied the board. If George wrote to the president,
then it was the president's right to decide if he wanted to disclose that.
PRIVATE correspondence is NOT THE PROPERTY of ABANA.

RE: How the bids were acquired. You are right, there does seem to have been
some discussion as to how that was done. Perhaps that was not done as best
as it could have been. Boards do make mistakes but it appears that this
board was responsible because they did question there own methods and then
they passed a motion that reflects that concern. Flagstaff 2000, MOTION #7.

I personally do not appreciate posts from individuals that quote inuendo or
speculation as fact. I'm tired of people trying to use "TheForge" to
impeach the ABANA board with what appears to be half-truths. And I'm tired
of those members that are so quick to jump on the bash ABANA bandwagon
without looking at the information for themselves.

The ABANA Flagstaff minutes are there - READ THEM.

Thank you ABANA board members for your service.
