"After two
years of dragging this thing around, it is just getting a little stale. Why doesn't
George D. personally address the board members he is in disagreement with, instead
of taking it to theforge"
The issue has been put before the Board, repeatedly. They refuse to respond, repeatedly.
(I would hazard a guess that any good trial lawyer would advise them to open up if they have the truth on their side or to clam-up if they do not.
However, some of the current Board are into crowing and sending emails......
Lucky too that some former Board members kept their copies of documents.)
Theforge, as originally established by the ABANA Board, was for exchange of information about blacksmithing as well as communication to and about ABANA.
It is open to the public (non-members) as part of ABANA's charter of educational outreach. Where the Board to simply explain (now or in the past), we would not be on this topic here or anywhere.
I'd like to thank former ABANA Board member Bill Fiorini for finally owning-up (FedEx receipt or no FedEx receipt).
I'd like to thank him also for establishing the custody of the bid package..... seems that ABANA President Doug Learn may be able to enlighten the ABANA membership now. If not Mr Learn, then perhaps Ms Steigler, Ms Yellin, Mr. Hightower, Mr. Kagel or Mr Lankton (who seconded Hightower's motion # 10, Flagstaff Board Meeting Minutes) can clear the air. The smoke somehow does not smell like coal burning.....
The bottom line is still the valid question: "was "$25,000 saved" by the change of publications contractors"?
Had the Board responded, then or ever, to questions and concerns regarding Ms Steigler's and Ms Yellin's actions (and the formers published claim of savings), this would not be troubling the 'Chris's' of the world with concepts such as 'responsibility' and honest responses from Board members (past or present).
Lacking correction, it appears, barring $25,000 saved, that over $6,000 of ABANA's dues is now annually spent as an ABANA Board sanctioned Publications Committee premium to underwrite the non-ABANA, vindictive political actions of sitting Board members against dues paying ABANA members and an ABANA contractor.. Mr Jim McCarty. ABANA deserves to be better served.
