I build forklifts for Nissan Forklift in IL and we build some electric models 
and thats all they use in the factory to move all of the material around the 
shop. I can say for sure that if you check out the products out there you 
can/will find something with as much or more power that gas/lp models.
But then you do have to purchase a charger and it will have to be charged at 
the end of the day, if you are running it all day long. If I were to purchase 
a forktruck for a shop I would buy electric because of the issue of fumes 
inside a small space. And from what I have seen the trucks that they use here 
they are beat up and I have never seen any of them go down(low maintence)
