     Yes, Original prints would be nice, but what they are doing is cutting 
apart  a 230 year old book and selling one page at a time.  What a terrible 
thing to do.  Sure, they'll make more money this way, but the entire 
encyclopedia is (I think) more than the sum of it's parts, showing a 
picture of a society in transition.  (and they didn't print THAT many copies!

    On the other hand, you can get the Dover books reprint in two 
volumes  for $26.50 each.  Go to http://store.doverpublications.com/ and 
search for Diderot.  or for Art Deco Ornamental Ironwork,   or  The 
Archaeology Of Weapons: Arms And Armour From Prehistory To...,  or 
for    Wrought Iron In Architecture: An Illustrated Survey
