I agree with some of the other replies, Ive seen the same thing and I felt
it was that the blade had come in contact with too large an area to cut
properly and rotating the piece a little fixed the problem, doesnt matter
whats in the A36 mix in my opinion, Ive cut all sorts of carbon steels on
the saw and they all seem to cut about the same. One other gripe I have is
that my saw never seemed to cut a 90 deg cut (top to bottom that is). Most
of the time it doesnt matter but especially on say square tubing you want a
square edge to but the pieces up together for welding, mines a makita saw I
wonder if any of them are better than mine at 90 deg cuts. I guess I could
reengineer the hinge but I never looked at it and it should be straight when
made if you ask me.
