Steve and Chuck,

I just got the video on Bob S.'s tip ("keith johnson did a demo at the 
bemidji minnesota meet last spring using his hyd press. if you are an umba 
member you can get the video from rog degner for a few bucks. well worth it.")

Keith is running a 5" cylinder using 22 gpm.  Whoa!  Thats over 4 
ips.  Have you guys seen the video?  It doesn't seem like its going too 
fast, but its way more than you guys and Batson recommends.  Keith holds up 
Batson's book, so I don't know what the deal is.   He's also using a 5 hp 
motor while Batson recommends a 10 hp for that pump.

He does demonstrate using a bypass valve.  I wonder if he doesn't have it 
set partially open all the time.

 From what I hear about noise and rpm, it may be worth considering getting 
a larger capacity pump and running it at a lower rpm (less than 1800) using 
the vfd we discussed before.
