oops forgot to add......
any reputable shop will have the zinc if they coat steel
and they will also tell you that it needs to be put on .....
they'll probably recommend sandblasting and/or pressure washing as
well.........
powdercoating is an extremely durable finish when applied properly.....
when applied improperly it will look like those patio chairs you get at
walmart after a year or so..... (flaking off and chipping.....)
but when properly applied the powder coat will outlast your client.......

at the place i used to work we gave a lifetime guarantee on any powder
coated piece, we coated aluminum and steel...... and let me tell ya it's
easier to coat aluminum.......

looks like i just broke a nickel........

Do you know if the spray galvanizing paints qualify, or does it have to be
a plating or hot dip application of zinc?
