Not price fixing at all. You could
probably figure out the number of middle
men involved if you thought about it a
bit. I do not by direct from a mill. I
buy from a distirbuter who buys from the
mill. I pay $195 cwt. + tax. I sell cut
to size pieces for $5.00lb.+tax, with no
cutting charge. The customer pays for
the trim piece if it is not a usable
size. With a shop rate of $75/hr with a
$25 minimum this is a bargain.
 If he then turns around and sell it I
am certain the $8./lb price would look
good.

At $8.00 /lb I would suggest getting
into a situation where you can order
larger quantities and buy a little
further up stream. Or developing a
contact who already does.
