Hey I dont think he needs a two thousand dollar machine, we all think in
terms of bigger the better when we use them evryday but this guy only needs
to weld 6mm, and then once in a while for his own home use. Second hand arc
is a great idea, even a new 150 amp will do the job and cost next to
nothing, or next is a cheap mig, duty cycle wont matter for you either, it
doesnt sound like there will be a lot of long runs in the fabbing of your
roaster, if it overheats then just go cut the next pieces or set up for your
next weld etc
