Another thing I forgot to mention, if your anywhere near one of the Leather
Factory outlets you might want to stop in. I was in there outlet in San
Antonio a couple years back and the selection and quality of items they
offered was impressive. Reasonable prices to, I went away with a lot more
material than I had planned on getting at the moment. They also have a club
you can join that gives you a discount on all your purchases for a year.
Discounts are 20% or more.  Someone else mentioned that a split or half hide
would cost 70-80 at another place, I'd be surpassed if a whole hide was much
more than $100 bucks at the leather factory figuring in the discount. And if
you live near an outlet you can pick what you want from the hundreds of
hides they have in stock...
