Idea 1) Try of Crayola's Modeling Magic. Find it at craft shops. It air
dries and is very light material. You can use this stuff to make almost
anything. Wrap you knife in cling wrap first to keep it clean.

Idea 2) Take your knife and photocopy it (or scan). Use the image as a
template and router/cut the outline out of wood for the bottom of a box.
Makes a nice close fit.
Use flocking (sp) to line the box, your choice of colour. Shakes out like
a powder and sets up like a felt liner. (Ideas is from ShopNotes).

Don't forget to have the bride and groom "buy" your knife (I'm referring to
a previous conversation on the forge about giving knives as gifts.)

Don't forget to post a picture of the knife and the box....

There is an isolation that comes in a can that works great for this use .
Spray it into a plastic bag , zip-loc etc.., then place the object on the
bag.
I have done this with some regulators for a mobile oxy-acety outfit.
Just don't get it on your hands! it takes forever to get off.
I think it's called "Good stuff"
I purchased mine at homeco. In the spray insulation section.
