I would consider upping the ante just a
tad. When I was looking for a MIG here
in Milwaukee, the quality seemed to take
a leap in the $550-$650 range. As I
recall most of the cheaper ones were
flux core only. Some had a kit available
for adapting to a shielding gas. I
really had a hard time seeing any real
difference between the $195 models and
the $400.
For what it is worth I ended up with a
Hobart Handler. It has served well other
than replacing a cheesy relay.
