Kirsten,

I tried all those things, and even some others that were suggested on this 
list a little while back.  The stuff I had to clean off had been there for 
2 years at least, maybe more.  Anyway, the can of Lacquer Thinner in the 
paint cabinet did the trick.  The next step would have been acetone and 
then a new board.  Fortunately I didn't have to go that far.
