Dave,
Lacquer thinner is a solvent mixture.  It seems generally to be principally=
 aromatic hydrocarbons, like toluene or xylenes, with ketones or alcohols =
mixed in.  So if you want to be really helpful, you'll tell us exactly =
what lacquer thinner you used.

Well, I found out what works well, even excellently for cleaning years =
old=20
marker from white erasable marker board ------ lacquer thinner.  Cleaned=20=

the board like new.
