[TheForge] Air hammer valves

Take a good look at the valve that is still there. The bowed spring looks
like a retainer to prevent the thin piece from moving to far causing it to
over flex and break in a short time. Is either end of the thin piece free to
move? The bow looks easy to make and the thin piece is just a piece of shim
stock.
