I used to pick up milk at Amish farms, the rich guys never had any
clothes that weren't new looking, I'd suppose that they were all made
by their wives.  The less affluent had clothes that were patched that
they worked in, but you had to look VERY closely to see the patches.
one farm was a trash pit and those men and kids were all tattered.
Shows that this sort of strata is in all segments of society.
