[TheForge] Sandblasting nozzles

Harbor Freight sells the nozzles in a ten pack for $12. There are
also carbide nozzles made. I don't know of a source, but your local
abrasives company should carry them. Personnaly, I would stick with the
ceramic and buy a supply unless your in a production situation. At
about four cents a minute, I wouldn't consider the situation that bad,
considering that a five hp compressor will burn about half a cent per
minute in electricity alone ( assuming 8.5 cents per kWh). I always
buy multiple packs and order new ones when my supply get low. I hate
running out.

Also, the ball valves used for a pressure blaster are not ordinary
plumbing brass ones, with a chromed brass ball, but should be high
carbon steel. A friend gave me a box of ten of these high carbon steel
valves. He bought them at an auction and was dissapointed when they
weren't brass. I explained what they were, but he still didn't want them.

It seems that a deadman valve will last longer. Harbor freight also
have a deadman valve for $49. As soon as I run out of ball valves I am
going to get one.
