I took a block of tool steel (4340, HTSR, scrap from a factory) to my
neighborhood machine shop and he made me a lower die for $60, with the old
die to copy.
Thanks again for jogging my memory, Pete- I put my DC welder on about warp
factor 7 with a stick of 1/8 6011 and cut right through the cast iron
spokes.
