[TheForge] Stupid comments

Sort of. If they never owned land, then they would never have been
"enfranchised" in the first place.
I'd prefer everyone have a voting license, with a requisite test.
Then at least we'd have a chance that those voting would have a minimum level
of intelligence and a minimum level of knowledge on the issues.
Democracy is okay, but I definitely prefer this Republic we have.
(Personally, I have no problem with people I don't like voting.
I have only a slightly bigger problem with them voting in a way counter to the
way I do.
It only becomes a real when they do that and they outnumber me at the same
time.)
I'd love to continue, but I'm on a mission to go scope out some equipment.
Bob

Sure, Roy. Makes it so much easier to disenfranchise people! A farmer or
rancher needs to have (own, preferably) land. A chemist, like me, really
doesn't. So why should I have to, just to vote? A poll tax is more honest.
If that's the kind of democracy you want!
Democracy is democracy. Everybody votes. Even people you don't like.
