I have the original style air hammer and have the uhmw in it as guides and I think the stuff so far has been great.I was having a problem when it was cold(no heat in shop)and the hammer would seem to be slow with brass guides but not so with the uhmw.I built my hammer with the Larry Zoeller plans and have now changed to a 2"dia cylinder and have a valve with 3/8" ports and 1/2" hose connecting all the things together and the little hammer now runs at 240 beats per minute
