For an individual there is no advantage, but for Ma Tech, we were paying
right at 100 k per year in demurrage. So, they instituted a cylinder
tracking system and track each cylinder by serial number. Several of the
vendors now have 6 digit (actually 3 letters and 3 numbers) stickers on
them to help in this effort. So, now instead of 100 k per year, we pay an
individual a salary for a lot less, and we have unfunded work done by
others (such as myself) to keep track. The bean counters love it. To the
rest of us, it's a pain.......<G>
