Thanks for all the input on the hammer guides  Today I got the support for the
guide tube and the guide tube welded on to the upright. Tonight I will weld on
the tube for the press and a cap for the top.  What I had planned to do to hold
the steel in the ram tube, was to V the face of the filler pc.  then weld into
the gap.  I will grind the face flat on a disc sander.  I may put some dowels in
from the sides I am using two strips of UHMW on each side so I will put the
dowels in between them. I don't know if this helps you or if you see anything
wrong with this.
