Tried it, hated it. Well, maybe I didn't hate all of it, but enough of it
to bring me back to Windows for the time being.
Too many distributions with too many unique attributes. Software that runs
under one distribution isn't always able to run glitch free under another
distrubution. While one major downfall of Windows is it's attempt to have
a "one size fits all" presentation, much of the LINUX software is "Try 'em
all on and if your lucky you'll find one that suits you" approach.
I installed LINUX on an PII/266 machine last September and gave up in
frustration in March of this year. My bottom line conclusion was that
while LINUX has it's good points (it does seem to process stuff faster),
it's not quite ready for prime time and the overwhelming majority of
Windows users.
