 (without grinding them).  I ground everything smooth but a few pits are too
 deep. I could fill them but there are lots of little ones.  The lamps I am
 making are going to be powder coated so color of the patch doesn't matter
 but the patching should be bake proof.

 Plaster? plumbers putty, epoxy filler? >>
