[TheForge] Rose pedal patterns

I use 6 layers for my copper roses (can be seen on my new site)I start with a 
4"dia circle I draw a 1" circle in the middle of this.As with Dans I draw 5 
lines so it looks like a star then cut those lines up to the 1" circle in the 
middle you have what kinda looks like a fan blade I snip the corners and 
round each off on the belt grinder and you have the first layer of petals or 
outside layer.I make two 4" dia ones the do two
3.75" dia ones the do two 3.5" dia ones.I take a piece of #8 solid copper 
wire and thread it 12-24 and screw on a brass nut put on all 6 layers with 
the smallest dia goin on last then screw on another brass nut and peen the 
end down onto the nut.Then its just a matter of folding up the layers.They 
come out real nice and women love them.
