Jeff,
Jackson has a new helmet out that goes from a shade 1 to a 12-13 I think.
you can weld and then grind and don't have to take it off. I saw an add
for it I think in the AWS mag. I don't remember all the details and can't
find the article. I don't know about the price. You can check it out at
their web site.
