Here in Minnesota we call them horseshoe vise as most I have seen had three
or four groves for holding and shaping the caulks when welding the shoe. If
you are lucky enough some had removable jaws for different size bolts
similar to a swedge block but these were usually lost over the years on non
use. Through out the years of several hundred auctions I have seen only a
few sell and don't know were any are except the one I have and it is not for
sale.
