[Test-Equipment] Who makes this SMA Thumb Wheel?

Hi Brooke,
Take another look, the 0.75" diameter is the bit that stays on the outside
to be gripped for tightening, either 2 or 4 inches out from the connector
itself depending on which version is being used.
The external diameter at the other end, the bit that slips over the SMA
connector, doesn't seem to be specified but from the diagrams it doesn't look
to be that much greater than the connector diameter, and I'm sure
Mini-Circuits could clarify.

Hi Nigel:
Looking at the images I was about to buy one, but after checking the
outside diameter of the wrench (0.75") and the ID of the hole in the DAGR GPS
(0.53") decided against it.

Hi Brooke,
Very good point about the rotating inner, I hadn't considered that,
although it would also apply to quite a lot of SMA terminations.
Another option I've come across that I wasn't previously aware of is the
HT-2-SMA long reach spanner from Mini-Circuits, a search will find it.

Hi Nigel:
Something like that except with the thumb wheel away from the SMAm end
would work.
An adapter from SMAm to something else. But SMA connectors have a very
small design life measured in matings.
When I was working with satellite microwave hardware we used SMAm-SMAf
adapters called "connector savers" and had a log
book of every mating of both the device being tested and the connector
saver.
So an adapter with a solid body, like the one on the eBay, would tend to
wear out the SMA connector in the DAGR GPS
receiver.
It's far better the way the cable now works were the cable remains
stationary and the SMA nut is tightened without
rotating the center contact.

Hi Brooke,
I can't help re the thumb wheel but, depending on the diameter and depth
of
the access hole, would something like this be usable?......

I've got some that are very similar and the bonus is that body, including
the SMA collar, is solid.
They wouldn't be my first choice over a "normal" SMA for most purposes
but
they can be quite useful at times.
It's possible that you might find something similar with an SMA female
outlet rather than BNC but I don't recall having seen those.

Hi:
The DAGR GPS receiver has the SMA antenna jack (J3) in a hole and so
needs
a special SMA thumb wheel that reaches into
the hole.
I'm trying to find out who makes that plastic SMA thumb wheel. An
example
is on the DAGR to RA-1 antenna cable:

SMA DAGR Spinner

The NSN goes to Rockwell Collins, but I doubt they actually make it.
