[Test-Equipment] Alfred Electronics 1001 Crystal detector

In times past I picked up the above coaxial detector.  Did a web search 
for info on it, not much available.

It appears to have a 50 ohm terminated "N" input, measured with my DVOM 
and a BNC output which reflects a crystal Hi-Lo impedance by changing 
the DVOM polarity.

I did find comparison sheet to a schottky diode indicating the Alfred 
should produce .8 mv with -30 dbm input up to about 10 Ghz.

Anyone have any experience on how this detector was used and any 
caveats?  I may have an app for it.
