~ One limitation of the 288X is the lowest frequency is 100 kc which
eliminates several Halli, Hammy, and National receivers with their low IF's.
Yeah, I saw that, but I'm unlikely to go with anything other than one high
IF in a single conversion arrangement. If I ever decide to get another
boatanchor receiver, I'll send it to you for restoration!
~ For simply sweeping higher frequency filters I suppose a varactor pulser
could be used with selectable ranges and rates.
I was hoping that the variable rate FM modulation feature would work for
getting a passband curve on my 'scope. I've had only a cursory glance at the
manual, but it shows such a thing. I'm gluing up a guitar today, and haven't
taken time to look further into it.
