[Test-Equipment] Harbor Freight Tools DVOM Mods?

I think most people have been picking up the free DVOM's that HarborFreight gives away from time to time.  I am wondering if anyone has doneany mods on these such as finding a back-light trick to the ones withoutit or adapting a rechargeable Li-Ion battery?  
I know, I know, its too cheap to spend time on but curiosity drives theissue here.
