As well as measuring "Q", it can measure inductance from 1 uH to 10 mH,
and C of less than about 400 pF.
Of course, the AADE L/C meter is much more convenient for L or C.
Haven't turned on my 160 or QM-1 in many, many years.

I am following this thread with the hope that I learn something!
I have had a Heathkit Q-Meter in the basement for some years now, just
WAITING for me to figure out a use for it!
I guess if / when I finally get around to building my HB-67 receiver from
the 1967 Handbook, I'll use it for cut-and-paste, experiment-around
determination of the highest Q inductors I hand wind. At the end of the
day, I wonder how much better the receive performance will be, high Q vs.
"everyday" Q?
Fortunately (I guess), I've had a bottle of Q-Dope hanging around as well!
73, and thanks for the great info.
