The TEK 130 is a fine piece of gear, but it is "hollow state."
Almost All Digital Electronics < http://aade.com/lcmeter.htm> makes a
solid-state digital L/C meter that does the same thing and sells for about
$100 in kit form and $130 pre-built. It is extremely accurate for small
values of capacitance and inductance. I am a very satisfied customer. The
basic circuit was described by Hadorn in QST for September and October 1982.
The TEK calibrators appear on EBay from time to time and are usually listed
under the heading "Calibrators & Standards." I can't tell you whether or not
they are necessary to the TEK 130, but I can tell you there isn't much to
them - a small air variable capacitor, an RF choke-shaped coil, and a couple
of resistors.
