Having in the past been to many equipment auctions, it was not uncommon to
see a few lots at the end or sometimes one lot that was
the 'dumpings' from bench drawers, tool boxes, etc. In the box(es) would be
probes, adapters, dozens of Polariod 107 goop tubes
and used chewing gum.

Closer to home is your sitting at your bench, say you remove the spring
clip from your scope probe make a couple measurement
and even though you have never moved anything other then your arms, the
spring clip can not be found.
