[Test-Equipment] Need recommendation for accurate low level DVM

Subject sort of says it all: I've been using some inexpensive DVM's over the yearswhich have done all I needed to do.  Lately, however, I am working some areaswhere the low end ranges of those cheap meters aren't doing the job.  For example:resistance measures in the 0 to 100 ohm range; voltage readings in the 1 to 3 voltrange.
Fearing an unending thread, please echo your recommendation for a decent DVMwhich can measure these low values accurately.
