Yes someone is correct there.....I dont the the correct designation but they
are refered to as "Burndept" or sometimes "F&E" (Brit Telecom staff)
connectors in the UK and were used a lot of VHF mil stuff. You will find
them on the back of the Racal RA17 so a quick query on the Racal group might
help. The connectors come in two flavours there are brass ones and aluminium
ones.....latter mainly used on airbourne stuff I think. I had a whole load
of UHF directional couplers with them on. They also come in two impedances
but I am not sure what the difference in the plugs is because they are a bit
like the mis-named UHF (PL259) connectors and I dont think they are constant
impedance. They turn up from time to time on Ebay. I will dig around to see
if I have spares but the postage from the UK will propbably make it
uneconomic. The fixing hole will take N or UHF I think, you might have
trouble with BNC which should never be fitted to bridges anyway !! (leakage)
TNC are OK.
