[Test-Equipment] [Boatanchors] TV-2

I have a TV-7A/U tube tester, along with all of the military manuals for it.
As you may know, the TV-7 is a later version of the TV-2. I just looked in
TM 11-6625-274-35, the Field and Depot Maintenance Manual for the TV-7
testers, and found nothing about a "calibration tube" in the calibration
procedure. Indeed, the depot calibration requires nothing more than a
Variac and a sensitive multimeter.

Obtain a copy of TM 11-6625-316-35, the Field and Depot Maintenance Manual
for TV-2/U, TV-2A/U, TV-2B/U. and TV-2C/U. Many such manuals are still
available for download from the Army LOGSA site.

Check out Alan Douglas's book on vintage tube testers and test equipment. If
I recall correctly, he's got a calibration circuit for Hickok-style tube
testers (TV-2 is of that class). Something like injecting a 5 milliamp 60
cycle current into the plate circuit; I don't really recall the details.

Best regards,
