You just may need to find a new Trusted friend. The E-26 indicates the
stored ENR from the noise head does not match what it now registers.
You can hang a scope on the head to see if it is functioning and then
trace back to the 28V PS.
If the head is putting out noise it may just need to be sent out for a
recal.
